Graduation Projects Mentorship
As a faculty member at the National Institute of Design, Assam, I have had the privilege of guiding numerous undergraduate students during their final-year graduation projects—a defining milestone in their academic and professional journey. I consider mentorship not just a responsibility but a meaningful opportunity to nurture talent, foster original thinking, and help students translate their ideas into impactful, real-world outcomes.
With a strong foundation in textiles, apparel & lifestyle accessories, I bring both academic depth and industry-relevant experience to the mentorship process. I support my students at every stage—from problem identification and research planning to design development, prototyping, and presentation. My approach is rooted in inquiry, critical analysis, and iterative feedback, helping students refine their vision while developing autonomy and confidence in their process.
Beyond technical or design proficiency, I aim to instill a mindset of rigor, creativity, and responsibility. Many of the projects I’ve guided have explored socially relevant themes, innovative technologies, and user-centered solutions. Several have received recognition through exhibitions, publications, and continued development beyond the academic space.
I take great pride in watching my mentees grow—not only in their project outcomes but also in their evolution as thoughtful, capable professionals. If you are seeking a mentor who will challenge your thinking, support your process, and bring clarity to your vision, I would be glad to work with you on your graduation journey.
